Playing for Change: Peace Through Music

by C. Biscuit on March 10, 2009

love-angel-music-baby-8Want to remember?

Want to recall what it is that makes your heart beat?

To feel like you’re part of something big…

Bigger than big,

the type of BIG that makes you sing and sway

to the rhythm of being human.

“This song says, no matter who you are,

no matter where you go in your life

at some point you’re going to need somebody to stand by you.” *

Are you ready to join chorus with global songbirds

an audible spark of cultural amalgamation

a sonorous symphony

orotund and clear?

love-and-musicLet it resonate brilliantly loud

because we are all human–

equitable shareholders of life.

Open and unfold anew

join a unifying voice:

One love, one heart, let’s get together and feel alright.

( *  direct quote from Roger Ridley, musician of Lumpkin, Georgia)
