Yes, it is that time of year again. A coalition of conventional medicine and CAM practitioners alike will congregate this Saturday. Moreover, you are cordially invited to attend the event designed to reshape perspectives on clinical and analytical medical sciences.

SPARC highlights current CAM research from local investigators and promotes scientific collaboration and knowledge sharing. This fourth annual symposium will focus on emerging directions in CAM research. In other words, this is a unique opportunity to see how different facets of the research world can come together over a common goal: creating health and a greater understanding of CAM therapy.

We are more than delighted to announce that SPARC’s keynote speaker is Josephine Briggs MD, Director of the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM). Dr. Briggs is a pioneer who continues to bridge the gap between research and clinical practice, citing a greater need for a comprehensive understanding of CAM modalities.  Her research focuses on creating clearer communication between researcher and physician, as well as physician to patient for the use of CAM therapies. Dr. Briggs will discuss “The Promise in Research on Complementary and Alternative Medicine”.

To register for the event call 503-552-1743.
